Venetian Plaster & Texture Finishes
Venetian plaster, or Venetian stucco, has been used for centuries around the
world, in homes and offices, on architectural masterpieces and in everyday
buildings. Architects and interior designers, home-owners and artists, all
have marveled at the distinctive beauty of this highly popular form of wall
surfacing. It is distinctive, subtly graduated in color, and can have a
rough finish although traditionally it is shiny and many-layered. The
technique uses thin layers applied a trowel or spatula and then burnished to
create a smooth surface with the illusion of depth and texture. |
